It was brutally cold yesterday, too cold even for Red to stand in the ice for too long, but at the corner, he ran into Liam, who wanted to get past him, to where some hay had dropped to the ground. Liam tilted his head at Red, as if to deflect his eye, his gaze, and Red crept closer. Liam stomped his feet a bit, but Red, unmoved, got closer yet. Liam turned around and went into the Pole Barn. I called Red back into the farmhouse.
