We met our friend Mandy Meyer-Hill at the Round House Cafe for a cup of coffee and her daughter Delaney (she is a student in my short story class at Hubbard Hall) joined us. As we were leaving the two laughed and hugged and I was quick with my camera, I saw a beautiful portrait of love and connection, the pure love that is sometimes the love of a parent and a child. They both gave me permission to post it on the blog. Mandy and Delaney lost someone they love last week, but there is plenty of love left for them.
