I couldn’t help but notice that Pipers head runs from the top of Maria’s ski cap to her waist, yet the horse’s gentleness is simply astonishing. Maria has no fear of her, the two have made a connection that is palpable. When Maria went to dismount, her feet did not yet touch the ground even though she was hanging from the saddle by her hands.
