We drove to beautiful Boston this morning, it is quiet here, the colleges are all closed for Christmas, we found a wonderful refurbished old hotel – the Lenox – right near Copley Square, we found a wonderful Thai restaurant right across the street and had lunch and walked a couple of miles to the Museum Of Fine Arts. It’s turning a bit gray and misty, a big storm system is coming this way on Christmas eve.
I loved Jamie Wyeth’s work, much more than I expected to. I like Francisco Goya’s art much less than I expected to.
I was happy to see that Ken Norman’s fund has sailed past the $25,000 mark – at $25,510, thanks and thanks again. Life is mysterious, life is good. Ken is having double-knee surgery next week, he will be out of his farrier work for three months. What a Christmas gift for him, and for everyone who works with animals and loves them, or for anyone who may need help in their lives.
Tomorrow, more museums, the Instiitute For Contemporary Art (they have a fiber show there) and hopefully, the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, the most enchanting museum I have ever been in.
