I’m having a good book week. Yesterday, “Saving Simon” went into a 3rd printing, a miraculous affirmation of donkey power in the face of corporate indifference. Last night, Amazon chose “Lenore Finds A Friend,” the My Reader edition of the story of her friendship with Brutus the ram as a “Best Book Of The Month For December, ages 6-8.” The story was a joy for me to write and publish, it is the story of an unlikely friendship between a puppy and a lonely ram, and how the border collie Rose tried everything in her power to stop it.
This is my second children’s book, hopefully not my last.
Love conquers all, though. Connie Brooks of Battenkill Books has a supply of this newly-published children’s book, stuffed with my photos of this wonderful friendship. I will sign and personalize any book purchased there, and Connie will give every buyer a tote bag as long as supplies last – she has a lot left. You can order the book on her website, or you can call the store at 518 677-2515. You can buy “Lenore Finds A Friend” and “Saving Simon” together, Connie takes Paypal and will ship anywhere in the world. Both are great Xmas books, good for all ages, but “Lenore Finds A Friend,” people tell me, is a great child or grandkid gift.
