Whenever I miss the light and color of the summer and fall, I meet the winter pasture, beautiful and clear and powerful in her own right, and very beautiful. Today, when I woke up, she greeted me, showing me her skirts, flirting a bit, suggesting what was yet to come. The winter pasture sustains me, it challenges me to find beauty every day, and to realize the world offers us all kinds of beauty, if only we can open our hearts and minds to it.
