The donkeys are still shedding, all of their winter fur isn’t usually gone until late June or July. Brushing the donkeys is a part of our morning ritual, they like up like customers in a car wash, waiting for the brush. Sometimes we both do it, sometimes I like to photograph Maria doing it, it such a beautiful thing to see, a way she talks to them and they talk to her. She is loving her new fancy French boots, which cost $200 online but cost her $8 in a consignment store.
