At 3 a.m., my inspiration time I had this idea to trying something new on my Facebook Page, into which the blog feeds. I’d like to begin a regular feature, “Uplifting Animal Videos”, something to make us smile and touch our hearts at the beginning of the day, a counterpoint to the downpour of bad and ugly images that we call the news.

I’ll post a topic (don’t know how often yet, maybe weekly, maybe daily depending on the interest) where people can post videos – photos too – of their animals. They ought to be uplifting in one way or another, they can be funny, beautiful, poignant or sweet. This is not a page for animal grieving, it is a celebration of life, not death, of love, not loss.

I am looking for images that touch our hearts, lift our spirits, remind us of why animals are so important in our lives. This morning Maria and I were watching some animal videos on You Tube. I don’t see any reason why we can’t do that on my Facebook Page regularly, this is one thing that touches and unites all of us. So if you like, click on over to my Facebook Page – there’s a topic up there now – and share some images that touch your hearts with us, each one a gift to the world.

I’ve been posting some heavy stuff lately – carriage horses, mystical lambs – I want to keep things in balance. There is a lot of love, light and beauty in the world, we can share that with one another. If it works, I’ll built it into the site.
