Photography is teaching me to listen to my impulses and follow them. We were walking through a second floor gallery at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York and I saw this perfect gentlemen standing by the information desk. He seemed a gentle and wise man to me, and I asked him if I could take his photograph. “Why?,” he asked. “Because I think Robert Frank would have taken your photo.” He nodded and said certainly. Frank’s work is often shown in MOMA. There was something about this image that makes me love it, I can’t really tell you what it is.
