We came home from New York City this afternoon and it was quite a transition – from Indian Chiefs, Editorial Meetings, Museums, great food, miles of walking, many photos. We found Ma’s two lambs – Deb and Jake. Deb is named after Deb Foster, who takes care of the dogs and other animals on the farm when we are away, and who is a devoted and faithful caretaker for them. Jake is named after my grandfather, Jacob Cohen, who turned off his hearing aid secretly every night for 40 years to avoid my grandmother’s running commentary. Had a joyous reunion with dogs and donkeys, it is good to be home, our heads are spinning. But this is a lovely sight to come home to.
