We think Liam was injured, bitten on the back, perhaps stomped by one of the donkeys – it would almost surely be Simon – who may not have recognized him as a sheep. He is trembling, breathing heavily, back in the barn in a stall. We treated wound, a deep scrape and have separated the donkeys in a separate pasture. Complicated stuff.
Pumpkin, the second lamb, is doing well. Maria is preparing to away for most of the week to Gee’s Bend, Alabama, an important trip for her, a great thing for her to do. I’m just awakening to the idea of her being gone for four days. It will be hard for both of us, good for both of us.
