Something new I want to take some photos of the very atmospheric storefronts of Hoosick Falls, a once booming mill and factory now, a still spirited community looking to find it’s place in the new and modern world.

Downtown Hoosick Falls, about 15 miles from our farm, has so many  beautiful homes and buildings, in the old downtown many of them are empty. Over the next few weeks and months I want to go there and take some photos of this very evocative place.

We have forgotten places like Hoosick Falls, they helped built the country, they were so vibrant and vital, the economists preaching the virtues of the new global economy have little to say about them. The storefronts of Hoosick Falls tell some powerful stories. I hope to share them with  you.
