I hear “away to me” as a song, a poem, a ballad to the spirit if the working dog, the working animal, how alive Red is as his feet leave the ground, he seems to be flying along the edge of the flooded pasture, the sun glinting off of the water, he is in his own timeless world, his own space. How sad it is that so many people do not understand how much these animals love to work with people.
