The Winter Pasture is breathing it’s last. I am grateful in one way to climate change, it has send beautiful and stormy skies, winter is a beautiful thing to capture, it is timeless and evocative. This winter has tested almost all of the people reading this in one way or another, I think it has made all of us more empathetic, generous and patient. Instead of the usual laments and outrage, I see Facebook is full of concern and good wishes. We are all feeling this in one way or another, we are united in this winter, if in little else. This kind of winter forces one to think of Spring and appreciate it. It reminds us that we suffer nothing alone, everyone struggles, everyone suffers, our humanity is tested and affirmed, our grace revealed in the thing we most want in the world, our connection to one another.
