When the temperature falls below zero – it was – 10 this morning, the donkeys get ice whiskers, it is so cold that their warm breath freezes on the whiskers. The ice whiskers last until the sun comes up or the temperature rises, it is part of the real world of real animals. This winter is impressive, focused, determined, relentless, it is sending us a message of one kind or another, I think it is calling us to pay attention to the world.
