We went to Jay’s Art Shop and Picture Framing in Bennington, Saturday (on the way to see “Wolf Of Wall Street”), Maria is getting more deeply into her sketching and I suggested we get some color pencils. She bought me some pencils and a sketch pad, I am not the artist she is, but I will try it, it appeals to me.
Maria keeps evolving creatively, last week she sold a sketch for the first time, I see her sketching a lot, I think is the next thing to come out of her very fertile artistic mind, we’ll see. She has to move at her own pace, for me sketching is very healing and calming, I’m eager to try it. I did some Ipad art I liked, but I’m not crazy about using a stylus. I have no idea what I will sketch, Maria seems to be drawn to interiors. Jay’s was a lot of fun, great art supplies, good to know about it.
I have always believed in the power of creative tools, from a computer to pencils, they take us places we are afraid to go, that we don’t necessarily even know we want to go.
