Got an early Christmas gift this morning, the sun came out as we went out to do the morning chores and I see I am a color and light person, the sun hasn’t been seen here for days and a cloud of icy gloom descended upon us, it felt like Middle Earth. Four movies to see this week – “Wolf On Wall Street,” “Inside Llewyn David,” “Hobbit (Desolation of Smaug)” and “Saving Mr. Banks.” I can’t remember a time when there were four movies I am anxious to see.

Planning a quiet Christmas eve, a day of expectations. We want to give each animal on the farm a token of our appreciation for them, something small – apples for each donkey, alfalfa cubes for the sheep, chewbones for each dog, not sure about the cats. I am grateful for my life this Christmas.
