It is bitterly cold, Mickey is dressed warmly, he is at his corner mid-day as usual, he says he doesn’t get cold, I am wondering what to get him for Christmas. He loves Pall Mall cigarettes, and can’t afford, I am always uncomfortable buying anybody cigarettes, but it is not for me to say what Mickey ought to get. Maybe I’ll talk to George about it, or maybe I’ll just buy him some Pall Mall cigarettes, it would give him much pleasure.
