Okay, this is the last big contest and give-away of the new “Second Chance Dog” book tour and campaign, now in it’s fourth week. Connie Brooks tells me that people who order “Second Chance Dog” from Battenkill by December 18th will get their books in time for Christmas.
So I came up with the last big and most spectacular give-away to push us to the 1,000 mark at Battenkill and hopefully beyond. I said we would sell 1,000 books at Battenkill (Maria and I will sign and personalize each one of them) and we will. I’ve learned a lot on this book tour – to sell books you have write a good one and you have to have a good blog and give lots of good stuff away.

We’re giving away 10 paperback of copies of “Rose In A Storm,” and 10 paperbacks of “Dancing Dogs,” my first short story collection. Both books are among the most popular of my paperbacks selling right now. “Rose In A Storm” is a novel – fiction, but inspired by my dog Rose – about a border collie stranded on a farm in an awful blizzard, her farmer is injured and gone, she is with sheep, lambs, deepening snow drifts and encircling coyotes. “Dancing Dogs” is a short story collection about live with dogs and other animals and our love for them.
