A A few weeks ago, I began doing something I didn’t quite realize I was doing – I had begun to post some of the most memorable images of my life during this year, 2013, as the year begins to draw to a close. Time does, as rumored, move along and along. I’ll be posting these photos throughout the month of December, we all have so many images in our lives to deal with, it is easy to forget them or lose track of them.

I love this image of Maria picking apples for the donkeys, they got very much into it, and Simon especially was right there waiting for the juiciest ones, it became an act of love, a way to communicate, a connection between us and the animals, and also became something very revealing about Maria and the care and love she gives to the animals in her care. It is an image of 2013 that always comes to mind when I think of the year. More to come this month.
