The Random House designers like this photo of Simon, which I took this week at Lulu’s Crossing in the afternoon light, as a possible cover for my next book, as yet untitled, about Simon and his life with me and Maria. I like it, there are sweeter photos of him, and also more disturbing ones of his initial arrival at Bedlam Farm, but this does capture the essence of Simon. I call it Simonism.
