As many of you already know, we debuted the new Credit Card Subscription program on Friday, and as many of you also know, it isn’t quite working yet. The site is very secure and allows people to use major credit cards as well as Paypal and there are still minor authentications issues to be worked out. I’m told they will be fixed shortly, thanks to the many of you who e-mailed me (I appreciate it but can’t say it was fun) trying to subscribe via credit cards. I’m sorry, Mannix Marketing is on it. Technology, like life, happens.
I am excited about this program, another step forward for publishing online, for me, for the blog. I appreciate your patience, I’m sure it will be resolved shortly. Also, reminding everyone that the blog will remain free to those of you who cannot afford to subscribe now. The credit card program permits subscribers to open their own account with a password and manage their subscriptions. You can downgrade, upgrade or cancel your subscription at any time. Subscriptions can be purchased with several options designed to make it comfortable – $3 a month for whose are financially pressured, or $5 or $60 a month for everyone else.
A very small number of people are under the impression they are purchasing me as well as subscriptions to the blog, canceling or threatening to cancel their subscriptions if I write something they don’t like. Don’t want to be misleading anyone, if you think that way, this is not the site for you, I do not tailor my writing or opinions to subscriptions. Anyway, I’ll keep you posted, I expect this to be resolved shortly.
