It’s heading towards 100 degrees at the farm – the weather is supposed to break on Saturday, a day  before our Open House – and Maria and I drove around this morning, distributing posters to the book store, the bank, the food Co-Op, to some neighbors. The barn cats and the chickens have decided the back porch will be their warm weather spa, they just hole up in the shade there and don’t move all day, I guess the slate must be cool Flo, barn cat retired, retreats  underneath the chair when it gets hot.
