We are celebrating our anniversary today. We got up, fed the animals, checked on the donkeys, my friend Jack came to help repair Flo’s stricken lawn mower, he is such a good and helpful man. Next week he will be on hand for the Open House to help us deal with crowds, traffic, whatever. Couldn’t find a better person. I am focused on Maria today, on showing her how much I appreciate and love her, and on surprising her. Remember the small things.
I took her out to the Round House for an anniversary breakfast, she had a yogurt/granola/strawberry cereal that was pretty great, I had a veggie omelette which was also great. We will leave for Massachusetts in an hour or so and perhaps to go Mass MOMA, the museum – there is nothing that makes Maria happier than walking around a good museum – and check into our inn. Then dinner this evening, don’t know where and to the Williamstown Theater Festival to see a play. I’ve got a surprise waiting for her in our room. Back tomorrow morning, we have some schoolkids coming to visit the farm with Scott Carrino – donkey and sheepherding tour.
