The first of the Dahlia’s in our Dahlia garden are beginning to bloom, and the buds are as lovely as I remember the flowers being. I look forward to photographing them, they are already mysterious and evocative. The Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico, most common in Latin America. The weather here has been tropical, plenty of rain, so the Dahlia’s feel at home I expect. I love everything about these flowers, they are sensual, romantic and mysterious.
