I can’t think of a better way to start the day that crawling around a mud-bogged pasture in the rain looking for a drop that tells a story. I found one on some lichen, it seemed to tell a story for me. This is why I love Red, we are not like the other children. The wonderful strangeness of border collies and their humans. There is something spiritual and meditative about appreciating nature in its macro form, just as there is something wonderful about using a 100 mm macro lens to do it. Beginning the day this way gives me perspective and purpose. I so loved doing it. And apologies to the 100 or so drops that didn’t quite speak to me.
