The storm today raged and fizzled, came and went, is still huffing a bit. But it’s mid March, and this felt like a farewell to the winter pasture that I love. Storms are changing, and fear of them is growing. They are still beautiful and the winter pasture has a stark and piercing quality that makes it special to me. I am eager for Spring, anxious to get to build my new garden, to be warm, walk all over the place, write on the porch, take photos of flowers. My appreciation for all of these things have been heightened by the winter pasture, and today I took my camera and put together a farewell album to the winter pasture. Album going up on Facebook.
