Jack Frost came to see us last night, to tell us that Christmas is past, but we can keep the spirit in our heads and our
hearts, every day, for all days,
when the news comes,
when the arguing resumes,
and the world intrudes,
when the brittle souls and small men fill the air
with anger and judgement.
He says a storm is coming tonight,
and we welcome it, are open to it.
We will keep our cup half full.
And our hay dry, too.
