In our former home, a trash company came and got our garbage once a week. In our new home, we live close to the county recycling station and take our garbage there together once a week. I love this recycling station. It is an eclectic place, all kinds of bins, signs, cans and complex instructions. It’s a high-tech aspiration with a decidedly low tech sensibility, atmospheric and unique to the country. A place for gossip and community.  It takes  awhile to figure it out, but it works.
