I gave Rocky his daily grain and calorie supplement – fattening him up for winter – and the donkeys who love grain came edging up to him. Sightless, he gave them a withering stare and froze them in place. I’ve always heard that ponies are feisty and this one seems especially so. He kept the donkeys away until he ate every bit of his grain.
