I have a great welcoming committee at Bedlam Farm, and they seemed pleased to see us. We work hard to keep comings and goings calm here but this is a sweet and happy crew. They did just fine with Bailey Guidon, who took care of them while we were away on the book tour. Everybody ate, slept in their crates, hung out in the yard, went on walks. Increasingly, I am convinced that dogs reflect us and our emotional lives, and if we are okay with coming and going, then they very often – not always – are. We have three wonderful dogs and I am grateful for them, every day. They make one happy to be home.
