As we move towards the new farm, different parts of it speak up and seem to be the creative center. There was Florence’s blue glass, the living room, the wallpaper, the barn and this week, the dog run, the fences and the new sheep pasture. More and more, me and my camera are drawn to Maria’s new Studio, a radioactive jewel of a place, pulsating with energy and creativity. Ben is working his competent and steady magic on the place, framing the windows, replacing rotten boards, patching holes, sealing cracks. I can close my eyes and see my wonderful wife and partner and work in there, scurrying from window to window, patching, sewing, drawing. I love her new place, it is so exciting to me.
