Meadow Sheep Gone. Selling Bedlam Farm

by Jon Katz
Meadow Sheep Gone

The sheep in the meadow across the road have gone back to Vermont. They might come to the New Bedlam Farm next year. We have another showing of Bedlam Farm tomorrow morning, a veterinarian from the New York City area. I’ve decided I’m not going to be here for any more showings. I think I feel too strongly about the farm to watch people come through the house. The good news is that there is now a stream of people who want to see the farm.

I’ll head over to the new farm and water the new trees. Then back to work on “Frieda.” We have meeting of the Hubbard Hall Writer’s Workshop at the farm this afternoon, three wonderful hours talking about ideas and writing with a group of gifted writers, bloggers and artists. I’m so glad I decided to do this workshop, so admiring of the people in it. We are hoping to publish a book on rural life next year, perhaps an e-book.

With the meadow sheep gone, we are now done to Maria’s four wool sheep. We’ll add to that number in the next few weeks and move them to the new farm. Which reminds me, I better get some hay.
