Today’s plan did not last long. Ben Osterhaudt found heavy damage on the slate roof of the old farmhouse, and it will take him days and many tiles of slate to repair all of the leaks and damage. Ben is a workhouse and I had to badger him to get off of the hot roof. He’s driving around to old farms to buy used slate, but we will need a lot.  For some  reason, a lot of the old tiles had holes poked in them, and water is coming through it. Okay, no pole barn this winter.
