The New Bedlam Farm is undergoing more change than it has experienced in more than eighty years. Florence Walrath lived there that long, and one farm family lived there before her – the farm was built in 1840. It appears that Maria’s studio was once a schoolhouse. The new logs from Todd Mason suggest change, lying as they are in front of the stricken main barn, which collapsed more than two years ago.
There are trees in front, new wires coming in, new roof, new animals, painted rooms, and new people and furniture on the way. Exciting stuff. This photo captured the feeling for me.
