Rocky had a bunch of burrs and burdocks stuck in his mane, so he got a trim and some hair work done. He circled around at first, snorting a bit, but then succumbed to Maria as most creatures do, and stood quietly while she cleaned him. We are probably going to build a small electrified paddock outside the stall and keep Rocky inside. He is 34, totally blind and is cutting himself on branches and rocks. He doesn’t need to be wandering around quite that far. Horses and donkeys generally sense the wire, and if they do touch it, they only do it once.
