Because he is totally blind, Rocky sometimes puts his head in the wrong place, in branches or fences. We find cuts and scrapes on him, and today, his name and forehead were covered in burdocks, which we removed. Maria and Red had to pursue him for a bit, but we got him into the stall and cleaned him. We are thinking of moving Rocky into a closed stall for more and more of the day, giving him hay and water inside, letting him out for shorter periods of time. I am beginning to think it isn’t safe for him any longer to be wandering around all those bushes and trees and disintegrating fences.
