Update on moving. The farm has not yet sold, no serious lookers at the moment. Also, it seems that the New Bedlam Farm we had in mind isn’t going to work out after all, at least not for now. So we are on the prowl again. It’s interesting, but the last few days have crystallized for Maria and for me what it is we really want. Writing about the ghosts, the fox and the chickens, I realize that I need to be on a Bedlam Farm. Perhaps a smaller one, perhaps this one for a while. Maria makes great stuff here and I a just find the stories and photos I need here. That is not a small thing.
We are not in a rush or a panic to sell this beautiful place. We both love it and are doing good and creative work here. It seems a smaller version of this farm would work for us, if and when we find one and sell this one. At this point, I am ready for a new experience, but I want a farm, an older farmhouse, a barn or two and some land to walk the dogs and for the donkeys to roam. I believe we will sell the farm, sooner rather than later. It is a beautiful place, offered at a realistic price. A good formula. Some good person or family will get lucky and buy it.
We also both believe that things happen when they are ready to happen. Can’t wait to see what’s ready to happen. Several people have e-mailed me to take a look at Rocky’s place. It isn’t for sale but when our move does happen, I suspect it will happen in that way. Wouldn’t that be curious? Every day I learn something more about the mystical power of animals to alter lives. I’ll keep you posted.
