The fox came back into the pasture this afternoon, but balked when I came outside, then walked coolly across the top of the pasture and then up over the top of the hill. Got a shot of him just before he disappeared. He is definitely returning to finish the job, as foxes do. The chickens are locked up in the barn. If I can, I’ll fire off a .22 at him to scare him off. But he will keep coming back I suspect. The chickens may be in the barn a good while. I don’t want him hanging around the barn cats either.
