Doors and windows are representations to me. They suggest choices, decisions, ways of going in life. Every day, when the fear rises, I say no, that it is not my choice, that is not my life, that is not who I will be. And I choose something else. Maria, the animals, a photograph. We choose who we are. Although there are no end of people trying to make choices and decisions for us, one of the precious things in life is understanding that we get to make our own. Who we are.
