I am among those people who believe you can judge a people by the public buildings they put up to speak for their communities. Seattle has a lot to say for itself. The Public Library is a dramatic space, cold, beautiful, dramatic. Not like any library I have ever been in. There is a lot of wonderful architecture in Seattle.
