Can you imagine a time when craftsmen signed and stamped the bricks they made for old farmhouse hearths and chimneys? Some great friends gave Maria and I this brick for a wedding present, and I am touched by the way it soaks up the morning sun. I found my camera card, easing my frustration about technology a bit.
This weekend I begin teaching a Storytelling Workshop at the Half Moon Library in Clifton Park, N.Y. Four classes, and my idea is that stories are our lives, and it is so important that we tell them anyway we can. I tell my stories through the blog, my books, photos, and if I can get my software going, videos.
A friend told me that stories are my ministry, and there might be something to that. I love telling stories and I love teaching them. I’ll report on how the class is doing. Had a wonderful training session with Frieda today, and I caught it on video. She’s a very challenging dog to train, distracted by every sound and smell for miles. But I think we really got “sit” down today and I will put it up once I figure out the technical stuff a bit.
