The people at Merck who gather to watch Rose work ask me how I trained her. Well, I say, she’s a farm dog, and she’s been around the farm and sheep since she was six months old, and one day during a storm she just went out and got the sheep and brought them into the barn and ever since then, I say, “Rose, let’s go to work,” or “let’s get the sheep” and she does. She won’t get onto the Discovery Channel, but she gets the job done.
Rose and I will be at Merck Forest and Farmland CenterĀ tomorrow (Wednesday, the 27th) at 1 p.m. helping acclimate their sheep and lambs to dogs. The public is welcome, and admission is free. Also Bedlam Farm notecards are up on the Redux Site. Chickens, flowers (bestsellers) and eggs. Potholders, Sparky Bags, quilts (I’m trying to get Maria to make Ipad bags) up on yesnoquilts.com
