Merck is a beautiful space to work with Rose in. The paddock is at the top of the hill and seems sometimes to be on top of the world. It was a beautiful windy, gloomy day and Rose and the flock are working well today. The movement with the lambs is herky-jerky Rose moved them back and forth a dozen times this afternoon. Hikers and campers love to come by and watch her, and I have to say I enjoy explaining how she works.

She’s a farm dog, so she does it her own way. But she is very calm and efficient, as always. With so many lambs, the flock is scattered all over the place, and I most especially like watching her figure out how to get them all together, which she always days. We will be back on Wednesday and Thursday, around 1 p.m.

Notes: Working on animal/grieving book. Finishing up first children’s book, “Meet The Dogs Of Bedlam Farm,” out next winter from Holt.

Bedlam farm notecards are up for viewing and sale on the Redux site. Stone wall notecards and Dogs In The Garden notecards will be up soon. Redux is the exclusive seller of notecards. Christine has done a great job of organizing their printing and sale, for which I thank her. The Image Loft of Manchester, Vt. has done a beautiful job printing them. Affordable art  you can use.

Big week coming up for Maria. She gets her new website, fullmoonfiberarts.com up and running. She’s still on yesnoquilts.com, where her potholders and quilts and bags are on sale. Her e-mail will change from [email protected] to [email protected].

It’s a snazzy new site, and it will remain connected to this one.
