We returned to Merck Forest today and Rose had things well under control. The ewes and lambs responded well to her, and she moved them back and forth a few times, moving slowly, staying back enough to keep everybody calm. When we left, the sheep were grazing, and she was watching over them. We are returning to Merck Monday, Wed and Thursday around 1 p.m. Rose is acclimating the herd to dogs before the herding trials in July.

I am not into herding trials, but people love watching them and people with herding dogs love doing them. Just not my thing.
