First, work. Imaginary Squirrel

January 25, 2010 – Rainy, windy. The media was hysterical about rain today, issuing flood warnings and alerts to keep your house from swimming away.  It used to be called rain and wind. I can’t imagine getting weather alerts. How about looking out the window?

At the daily meeting, Rose paused to check on her squirrel. Work first. Lenore is impatient to get down the path and continue her search for deed deer parts. Izzy is trying to make sure the camera gets a full-face shot. Frieda is looking out for rabbits. When Rose is done, they will all take off togther.

Notes: “A Good Dog,” and “Izzy and Lenore” are both being reprinted again, nice news for a writer.
“A Good Dog,” the story of Orson’s life and death, is my best-selling book to date.  “Izzy and Lenore” also seems to be finding a nice groove. It is the story of Izzy and Lenore’s arrive into my life. In March, I begin the first of two story-telling workshops at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Center (LARAC.) My first children’s book “The Dogs of Bedlam Farm” comes out in the Spring of 2011.

Bedlam Farm notecards are being shown and sold at the Redux Gallery and its website. Potholders are being ordered and sold on Maria’s website. Mary Kellogg’s book of poems “My Place On Earth” is being sold by the Troy Bookmakers.
