Lenore is the dog for the afternoon walk
December 28, 2009 – The e-mail sales are arriving, and the talking heads are back at work. I am not ever going back to a life with so much fear in it. That is an exciting prospect for 2010, a year filled with promise for me – love, my novel, photo shows, short stories, story-telling workshops. And love.
I’ve begun a new daily tradition, an afternoon walk with Lenore. We walk up the road by the farm, which is steep, until I am sore and wheezing, and then we walk back. Lenore sniffs busily along the side of road, pausing, as I do, for someĀ reflection when it’s approprite. I usually walk her on a leash, but of course smelling a photo op, I loved this shot of her. Dogs help us live our lives. Today, going to get the truck serviced, working on my short story about a woman meeting her dog in heaven.
I am eager to tackle the notion of meditation, with which I am struggling. Need to quiet the mind.
