Work is to the border collie what food is to the Lab. Rose in her daily pursuit of the Imaginary Squirrel – now entering its sixth year – reminds me to love my work, take it seriously, pursue it faithfully every day of my life. I hope she finds her squirrel one day, but it doesn’t really matter. She will not give up looking for it, or tire of the work.
