Bedlam Farm
December 22, 2009 – Hard to believe 2010 is just a week or so away. I have high hopes for next year. My novel “Rose In A Storm” is coming out in October. My children’s books will start appearing in the beginning of 2011. I hope to finish my book of short stories in the Spring, and then my sequel to “Rose” sometime in the Fall. My wish is to do well as a novelist, write good stuff. Grow and grow as a writer and photographer. And friend and partner and father.
I have two photo shows in 2010 – “Portraits Of My Life,” January 9, at Redux in Dorset, and in August at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) in Glens Falls, “Last Days Of A Dairy Barn.”
I am conducting two story-telling workshops at LARAC – four week sessions, one in March, the other in July. I am excited to see Mary Kellogg write her third book of poetry, as yet untitled, and to see Maria tackle her new fiberarts business, launched by the redoubtable potholders.
I will resolve the issue of where to live in 201 – to stay on the farm, or find a New Bedlam Farm. I will work with and enjoy my four dogs – Rose, Frieda, Izzy and Lenore. I hope to grow as a writer and a photographer. I am scheming a “Rose In The Storm” book tour, bringing me, my computer, camera, and dogs around the country.
God knows what else I’ll come up with. Sounds like enough. I do have some secret plans for enhancing my personal life.
This week, I hope Amazon and others will stop bombarding me with last minute sales opportunities so I can get down to a serious week of spiritual reflection. Wednesday Maria and I are going to see Emma in New York City for Christmas Dinner. Then right back up here for Christmas on the farm. I will be posting words and photos throughout the holiday season and I am grateful to all of you and your wonderful messages to me. I will be blogging away, but wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I love and appreciate you.
