Leaves in a bowl

  October 2, 2009 – Got wonderful news this morning. Random House has agreed to an as yet untitled sequel to “Rose In A Storm,” which is about two weeks from completion. The sequel is to be set in the Adirondacks, where I will hole up for research for some of this coming winter. I think this is the end of non-fiction for me, at least for awhile. I am also working on my first picture book for Holt, and I am very excited and fortunate to have this work to do.
  I had mulled trying to do a non-fiction book on dogs in America, but cooler heads prevailed, and I am a novelist and children’s book writer and photographer, and I could not really be much happier. Love and work. Whenever you have both, and both are good, you are blessed.
